The great clarinet player, Emma Johnson is joined by the celebrated pianist, Julius Drake and much acclaimed soprano, Sophie Daneman for a truly varied recital. They have adopted the Festival's theme of the countryside with alacrity for Schubert's "Shepherd on the Rock", as well as The Victorian Kitchen Garden" - a piece which Emma arranged some time ago - are included. Schubert wasn't the only composer to be inspired by nature-related poetry; Goethe's poem Das Veilchen, provided inspiration for Mozart's most famous song.
