Tom Poster's Lecture Recital last year left the audience with so many happy memories of Chopin's B minor sonata that it seemed a good idea to invite him back to do a similar programme.

This time he focuses on Schubert's mammoth B flat major sonata, the last of a trilogy of sonatas written weeks before his death in 1828 - the same year he composed Schwanengesang. The three sonatas weren't published until ten years later.
