Since winning BBC Young Musician of the Year in 1994, Natalie Clein has become one of Britain’s leading young cellists, has several recordings to her name, has appeared in all the major concert halls and played at most of the world’s leading festivals.

Knowing the Festival’s theme, she has chosen her programme with great care. Kodály was greatly influenced by folk music and Natalie’s own arrangement of Song of the Birds is particularly beautiful.
