The accordion, like the mouth organ, originated around the1830s. Operated with a bellows and a small keyboard, it requires considerable dexterity and coordination to play it and until recently, was regarded as an instrument for street corners and for busking in tube stations. This is not the case when played by virtuoso, Ksenija Sidorova. She is one of the most exciting young players in the world, and is currently finishing her postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music.

Her programme includes classical and contemporary pieces as well as transcriptions, and with her lively personality, this promises to be a very exciting concert.

Optional lunch of good sandwiches available after the concert. See booking form.
