Agata Szymczewskia

Agata Szymczewska is one of the world’s most exciting young violinists of today. Her Wigmore Hall recital a few months ago had the audience spell-bound and her performance in the London Music Masters Awards immediately led to an invitation to appear with the London Philharmonic Orchestra this coming autumn.

For her Two Moors Festival recital, accompanied by Slavomir Wilk, she has chosen to play Brahms’s beautiful G major sonata, dedicated to his friend, Hans von Bülow and premiered in Budapest in 1888 with the composer at the piano. Wieniawski’s popular D major Polonaise not only provides complete contrast but also, represents the true spirit of the romantic era in Poland.

There is lunch available following the concert at £8 per head in the Victoria Rooms. See booking form.
