Helen and Harvey Davies are no strangers to the Festival and their piano duet concerts have become something of a legend, having performed the four-hand version of the Eroica Symphony as well as giving a highly popular recital in Ashburton last year.


Their all-Schubert programme demonstrates the ease with which the composer wrote for twenty fingers. The Op. 35 Variations are typically beautiful and were written in 1824, the same year in which he composed his better known F minor Fantasy.
